The holding cell had everything a human society could want: a tree, three yards of picket fencing for no reason, the shell of a minivan. Inexplicably the humans were not successfully breeding and surviving. They tended to mate even less in the presence of Girglaxian scientific observers.
Human suits were created for the ten foot tall Girglaxians and tape recordings of human calls were played to complete the illusion of a Girglaxian-free environment.
“Do they really think we don’t notice them when they’re dressed like us? I think that costume is felt,” were some of the untranslatable sounds the humans made.
