The Meaning of Life

The Meaning of LifeA steady stream of disciples crawls up the mountain for several grueling days for the chance to talk to the man who has done nothing in his life except sit on a mountain.

“What is the meaning of life?” or something similarly worded is the most common question he is asked.

He answers, “Love.”

The disciple nods his head in agreement. “Of course! It’s all so simple.” Then he climbs back down.

The man who does nothing changes up the answer from time to time. It gets boring sitting on a mountain. For twenty-seven disciples the meaning of life was bagels.
