The Case of the Mysterious Bite

“Thank you for seeing me on such short notice, Dr. Walton,” said Thaddeus Dresden, local taxidermist, “I know how busy you are with that Shamrock O’Malley fellow.”

I sighed, “Yes, he certainly keeps me on my toes.”

“I thoroughly enjoy the accounts of your exploits in the Shillingsaver.”

“What seems to be the problem, my good man?” I said, wishing to change the subject.

“I was bitten rather badly, by a large man. Strangest thing if I do say so myself.”

At that moment O’Malley burst into my office, “What malady had this attacker? Lycanthropy? Hyde’s Disease?”

“Shamrock, please,” I said.
