“Then I’ll go rescue her,” Gilder says matter-of-factly.
“It’s not that simple,” Master Wizard Yarnus explains, “There is a horrible beast guarding the tower so powerful that it would tear you to pieces simply by looking at you.”
Gilder gulps.
“Then it would tear your pieces into tinier pieces with its razor-sharp claws.”
“I get it,” Gilder shudders. “What am I supposed to do?”
“Only a complete imbecile would dare even attempt,” Yarnus says, “so you must undertake Stupid Training!”
“That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.”
“Exactly! Let’s begin.”
